A short walk to historic waterfront/wharf, restaurants & shops. This home features WiFi, 6 Smart TVs, large kitchen, pool table, fire pit, BBQ.  8 min to Crockett & Jenne Farm weddings, 11 min to Ft Casey & Port Townsend Ferry.

 

Original owner and pioneers John and Jane Kineth took the overland route to Whidbey in 1853 for their First Class land claim, one of the first 8 claims on Whidbey Island. John was born in Bavaria in 1828. Then at age 10 he moved to Springfield, Illinois. His wife Jane was originally from Athens, Ohio. Jane was a descendant of the Mayflower pilgrim, Robert Carter. The Kineth House was their retirement home in Coupeville.

OUR ROOMS

The Kineth House is composed of 6 Bedrooms and 5 Bathrooms. Four of the bedrooms have their own private full bath. Two smaller bedrooms on the main floor share a bathroom with a shower.

Full size pool table and 65" TV with Bose Sound Bar and couches for gathering and watching your favorite movie or sports/ entertainment.

Large Dinning Area

Large formal dining with seating for 12 complete with Butler's Pantry stocked full of glassware to suit any occasion.

Biking

 

Whidbey offers many areas to bicycle and trails for mountain bikers. E-bike rentals are within walking distance. All types of bike rentals can be found at Skagit Cycle in Oak Harbor about 12 minutes away.

Sailing

 

Book a day sailing on the classic 68 ft schooner sailing yacht Scuva at the Wharf.

Kayaking 

 

Kayaks can be rented at the Wharf dock or in town, both within walking distance.

Fort Casey & Port Townsend

 

The Kineth House is located 11 minutes away from the popular Fort Casey State Park and the Keystone Ferry which takes passengers to Port Townsend.

“The perfect AirBnB! The house had EVERYTHING one could need. The bathrooms were well-stocked. The kitchen had every imaginable utensil, small electronics, 3 ways to make coffee, water dispenser, every type of glassware, all the pantry items, beautiful BBQ...and the list goes on. Every need was anticipated, and everything was new and clean! Ample seating for everyone outside and inside. This place is a gem! Close to cafes and eateries and natural beauty. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!”
